Meet Lukhanyo

Lukhanyo’s easy-going demeanour is complemented by her dedication to hard work. She has experience working in a school as a child and youth care worker and has also been an au pair for just under two years. These roles have afforded Lukhanyo some valuable insight about what it’s like to work with different kinds of children in different settings. Lukhanyo thoroughly enjoys helping others and plans to become a psychologist one day. In the meantime, she strives to constantly develop her own skillset and spend as much time as she can helping others, especially children. Lukhanyo’s willingness to learn and give the best of herself in every situation are indicative of her suitability for the responsibilities that accompany au pairing. She is an excellent listener, making the people around her feel safe and cared for. She understands the necessity of putting time and effort into a relationship to form trust, and she is willing to cultivate this bond with those under her care. She is skilled at engaging children on their level and incorporating their unique interests into her approach. Lukhanyo is cognisant of the struggles that children face as they navigate growing up. She possesses the unique ability to encourage children to reach their full potential, whilst still being gentle and kind. Her collaborative approach to working with others helps to cultivate a positive, experimental, and rewarding learning environment. Lukhanyo believes that she is learning from those under her care as much as they are learning from her. She approaches hurdles with pragmatism, always striving to offer the best of herself. This would surely allow her to act as an exemplary role model for those under her care. We believe that Lukhanyo would be an asset to any family.
