Meet Sonia

Sonia is an amazing person who seems bubbly, warm and kind. She is extremely responsive and easy to communicate with, and consequently dealing with her throughout our process has been a breeze. Sonia is the type of person who we feel was ‘born to work with children’. it all seems to come very naturally to her, and we could see how her positive, engaging and friendly nature would make her someone that children would gravitate towards.

Sonia has almost five years of formal experience with children and many more years of informal experience, which started with her caring for her own younger siblings when her parents passed away (she was 20). She has many fun ideas when it comes to activities, games and outings for kids – it sounds like she would have absolutely no trouble keeping them busy. She also loves animals. Sonia is a practical thinker and often uses real-life examples to explain difficult concepts to children. She is an excellent listener and understands how children tend to think and process concepts and situations. Although most of her formal experience has been with younger ages-groups, she has had ample experience working with both younger and older children informally and is consequently confident that she can handle any age-group.

We believe that Sonia will be an asset to any family who grants her the opportunity to assist them, and feel honoured to have her as part of the Tip-top team.
